UPDATED ONLINE PHARMACY POLICY

A message to our Valued Clients:
We are reaching out to inform you of an important update that will be taking place June 1, 2026 regarding how we handle prescription authorizations for outside or third party online pharmacies. After thorough deliberation, we have decided to shift our approach. Our top priority is delivering top notch care for your pet, and we aim to dedicate our efforts toward addressing your concerns and your pet’s needs. We deeply value the privilege of caring for your pets and are committed to prioritizing their health and well-being moving forward.
Our staff spends a considerable amount of time every day facilitating communication with outside/online pharmacies. We would love to be able to re-direct this time and energy back into enhancing our in-person services for you and your pets. Additionally, communicating with these third-party vendors can often lead to misunderstandings, repeated refill requests, improper dosage requests, which consume extra staff time and cause delays in promptly receiving your pet’s prescription.
If online ordering is your preference, we recommend ordering from our affiliated online pharmacy, Vetcove, you can find the link on our website. Our online pharmacy is linked automatically to your pet(s) medical records. You are still buying the medication from a veterinarian and have the guarantees that come with those purchases. Should there be any concerns regarding efficacy or palatability or if your pet has an adverse reaction to medication, we are able to help secure resolution. You will still have the order sent directly to your home and you will be able to take advantage of the manufacturer rebates.
We respect that you have a choice as to where you purchase your pet’s medication. If you choose to purchase medications from other retailers, we recommend that you do so from an accredited and certified veterinary pharmacy. We are happy to provide you with a written prescription upon request that you can send to the pharmacy of your choosing.
Starting June 1st, 2026 instead of processing orders by online portals, phone or fax from online suppliers or outside pharmacies (except for compounding pharmacies for a specific medication formulation), we will happily provide you with a written prescription that you can pick up at your convenience, during our business hours. Please allow 48 hours to complete these requests, we will do our best to include a year’s worth of refills when appropriate.
